Welcome to ValorJobs. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using the ValorJobs mobile application ("App"), the ValorJobs website and web application, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

ABOUT VALORJOBS

ValorJobs is a platform designed to connect veterans, first responders, and skilled trades professionals with employment opportunities. Our mission is to serve those who have served our communities by helping them find meaningful work.

ELIGIBILITY

To use our Services, you must

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable law

USER ACCOUNTS

When you create an account, you agree to

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update your information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

PLATFORM PURPOSE

ValorJobs serves as a connection platform between job seekers and employers. We do not

  • Guarantee employment, job placement, or any number of applicants
  • Verify the accuracy of job listings, profiles, or any claim made on them
  • Guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or reliability of any employer, worker, or organization
  • Act as an employer, employment agency, recruiter, staffing agency, or agent of any user
  • Take part in any hiring decision or in the terms of any employment

USER CONDUCT

You agree not to

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users
  • Use the Services for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with other users' use of the Services

CONTENT

You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content, you grant ValorJobs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Services.

JOB POSTINGS AND EMPLOYER OBLIGATIONS

If you post a job on ValorJobs, you are the employer of record for that posting, or an authorized agent of that employer, and you are solely responsible for it. By publishing a posting you represent and agree that

  • The position is a genuine, currently open opportunity at the business named on the posting
  • Everything in the posting is accurate, including the title, location, duties, pay, schedule, and requirements, and you will update or close it promptly when that changes
  • The posting and your hiring process comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including equal employment opportunity laws, wage and hour laws, and any pay transparency law that requires a pay range to be disclosed where the work is performed
  • The posting does not state or imply a preference, limitation, or exclusion based on a protected characteristic, except a lawful preference for veterans where permitted
  • You will not charge a candidate any fee to apply, interview, or be considered
  • You hold all rights needed to publish the content, and it does not infringe anyone's rights

ValorJobs may edit, decline, unpublish, or remove any posting at any time, with or without notice, including a posting we believe is inaccurate, unlawful, misleading, or inconsistent with the purpose of the Services.

APPLICATIONS AND HIRING DECISIONS

Employers are responsible for every hiring decision

  • Screening, interviewing, evaluating, and selecting candidates is the employer's responsibility, not ours
  • Any background check, drug screening, licence or credential verification, work authorization check, or reference check is conducted by the employer, under the employer's own legal obligations, including any notice and consent the law requires
  • Employment terms, onboarding, pay, and workplace conditions are between the employer and the candidate

ValorJobs does not vet, screen, or endorse any candidate, employer, or organization. Information on a profile or a posting is provided by the person or business that created it. Candidates are responsible for their own decisions about which employers to contact and which offers to accept.

IMPORTED AND ASSISTED CONTENT

The Services may help you fill in a posting or profile from a document, a link, or text you provide, including with automated tools. The result is a draft. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting it before you publish it, and the representations above apply to the published content regardless of how it was drafted.

ORGANIZATIONS AND REFERRALS

An organization that refers people to ValorJobs sees aggregate progress for the people it referred, under a reference number. A person controls whether that organization can see their name, profile, or outcomes, and can change or withdraw that choice at any time in the App. Organizations agree to use referral information only for their own program purposes and not to share it further.

PRIVACY

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your information.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VALORJOBS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ValorJobs, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, any posting or content you publish, any hiring decision you make, or any claim by a candidate, employee, or third party arising from your recruiting or employment practices.

MODIFICATIONS

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Onondaga County, New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
